A former coworker who transfered to Escondido came by to visit us, he was sent home, his route is on fire...The winds have been sooooo bad. My home is not threatened, thank God, at least it is not currently. I'm not far from Escondido and Fallbrook, some of the places on fire today/tonight. __________________________________________________ | |

As people watch this on the news, I hope they reflect on the fact that we can't take any of this 'stuff' with us when we go. :) Life is short, and life does not consist of the things we have. Two fires which are uncomfortably close to me are #12 the Poomacha fire and #15 the Roca fire, also, the entire town of Fallbrook has been evacuated and it is close, too. With these 100mph winds, the embers are blown everywhere... I'm honestly not worried, though. Maybe I should be? LOL :) __________________________________________________ | |

| michelle2chat ::: Favorites 2007-10-23 21:07:40 Blueridge, please do not worry, if they tell us to evacuate we will not hesitate! :) Our city has a reverse 911 system in which we will be called if they want us to evacuate. There are two fires which are very close (close enough that I can see each of them, one from my front yard, one from my back yard!) but they are each a few miles away. The troublesome thing is that the wind is STILL not letting up. __________________________________________________ | |

The one I can see from the front yard is one I'm not exactly sure about but I think its the Poomacha fire. __________________________________________________ | |
