Description: This video is really a series of short clips. My aunt gave Jen and me an impromptu long-lining lesson with her Oldenburg gelding, Ziggy. I felt like I never did anything with a horse before--and I kind of looked like it, too! I started to get a feel for it towards the end. Ziggy was very patient with me. We did cut it short because at the end you can see he got kind of stiff at the trot--my aunt said that he had his shoes pulled recently, and we obviously stopped because we didn't want to hurt him. Though it was a short lesson, it was very informative and gave us an idea of how to get started. |
