Description: A video I made for the long version of the German band Nena's British No. 1 hit, "99 Red Balloons". This version of the song was issued on a 12" single in the UK and Japan in 1984 and was advertised as "99 Red Balloons (Club Mix)". Of course, there never was a video for this version, so I made one myself. When the video for the shorter version was made, to cut costs, no video was shot for the song exclusively. Instead, a video was made that featured a montage of footage from the two videos for the original German version of the song, "99 Luftballons". One version of the German video shows the band performing , with the studio recording dubbed over. The second German video was filmed at the Dutch military base Harskamp. When the video was made for the English version, these two videos were taken and combined to create one video. To create my version, I got the two aforementioned videos for the German version and made the video for "99 Red Balloons" myself. Then I went back and took a lot of the extra shots and added them in during the remixed parts of the song.
