Description: Paddy Taylor was a flute player from Limerick who played on the Radcliffe system flute. He released an LP in the 1970s called "The Boy in the Gap" and included many great flute standards. It is widely believed that he composed this tune which has been called "Tripping up the Stairs" (not to be confused with the jig of the same name.) It is a very nice banjo tune which can be played in D major or D modal (mixolydian) depending on whether you play C# or Cnatural. I played both versions here. Bhí Paddy Taylor as Luimneach agus fliútadóir é. Lig sé ceirníní sna 1970s and "Buachaillíní sa Bearna" an t-anam a bhí air. Bhí alán foinn feadóg mór leis. Creidte forleathan go raibh Paddy Taylor an chúmadóir. Is foinn deas é ar an mbanjo and is feidir leat é a seinnt i dhá gléasanna, Dmajor agus Dmodal. Táim ag seinnt na dhá leagain ar an taifeadadh seo. |
