Tags: Linux  xvidCap  Ubuntu   Description: Just tying out a video capture tool for linux called Xvidcap. Im running this on the Ubuntu Live CD 7.10 Gutsy. The machine is a amd 3000xp with a gig of ram. Being a live cd nothing was installed on the HD. Unfortunetely Xvidcap was not available (that i could see) in the Ubuntu repositories,(synaptic package manager) but is available on Sourceforge.org in a .deb format for easy installation. I left the interface for Xvidcap as i explored around Ubuntu and the web so you can see how easy it is to run, and what it looks like.Thanks for looking...Mark
