I didn't even think I needed to be so up front about it, since it COMPLETELY SPOILS THE STORY, but lately I've been getting an influx of "gay is bad and therefore your entire video is bad" comments, which disturbs me. Do you guys even read the description box where it plainly states that this video is "weird and scandalous"? Criticize this video all you want for my shitty editing skills, flat jokes, boring screencaps, and terribly written storyline, but if the ONLY standard you're going to use to judge it is "gay" equals automatically a bad video altogether, I'm going to ask you to keep to yourself. (Geez, what the heck is up with this anyway? This video has been online for a freaking year, and there wasn't any problems with "the gay issue" until now...) Plus, anyone who actually understood it would know that it's a COMEDY. (I try, at least. Hopefully it's funny enough to your tastes.) It's a SATIRE on the different ships in the Pirates fan community. And if you don't know what the word "satire" means, you should be reading a dictionary and studying harder in school, and not wasting your time by watching this video. Honestly. Norrington is a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. It doesn't matter if I joke around and make him gay or straight because YOU WILL NOT EVER GET INTO HIS PANTS. Jack Davenport, the actor, is real and straight, but it also doesn't matter because you will ALSO NEVER GET INTO HIS PANTS. And no, as far as I know, he has no problem with "oh my God, being cast as... gay" because he's played a gay character in The Talented Mr. Ripley. (Good movie, check it out!) I'm just tired of all this, "Eww! You're terrible and immoral! Norrington is not gay!" No shit. He's not real either and you don't hear anybody griping about that. For those of you who seem to have gotten a humorectomy in the past, please report to the nearest hospital for a transfusion of teh lulz. For everyone else... This is an alternate telling of Pirates Of The Caribbean, starring the exquisite Commodore Norrington, co-starring Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann. (WARNING: excessive weirdness, suspensions of disbelief, and scandalous moments ahead. Don't say I didn't warn ya.) Part one of a four part series! And plus, if you'd actually kept watching the whole series, you'd know that my Norrington is not in fact gay... he plays for both teams, baby.
