I so know how you feel about lotions. And once you put it on you find yourself not ten minutes later washing your hands!

I can completely relate. I've had OCD for the past 4-5 years now, it never was severe or affected my daily life but for the past 5-6 months it's been really stressful - it was triggered by going on holiday and I had to use the public toilets while I was wearing a long skirt, I was worried incase the skirt touched the toilets and it's got worse since then. Mostly it's just to do with germs/contamination but I also check things as well. It's so frustrating and takes up at least 95% of my day...

omg i just recently found out that my "habits" were caused by OCD. i remember since i was young, like 2-3 years old, where i would have to make everything feel even. if i were to fall down on my right side, i would stand back up, and fall down on my left side. What's the treatment for this???

The best treatment is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. 18 months ago my son felt everything his friends touched contaminated his home, he couldnt go out, he thought he was bad and God would hurt his family (he's a great kid, just fab). It has been a hard year he has had CBT and I have gone to a parents group so we can learn how help the children. I learned that reassuring that something is clean is the wrong thing as it reinforces fears. Reach out, get CBT, it's changed our lives. Good luck x

Check out Don Miguel Ruiz. He seems to be able to heal people with emotional problems like OCD.
