Description:
As the story went, a rough demo tape of this song recorded in their rehearsal room in Manayunk made it's way into the hands of Michael Tierson at WMMR who was a fan of this up and coming ska band playing clubs around Philly. The DJs started playing on the radio and fans called wanting to hear more. And so it began. |

TheTravelingThumb ::: Favorites Wow, thank you for this posting! I've loved this song since first hearing it on WMMR way back in the early 1980's. MITS was before the indie Amore LP I think. These guys were amazing! 07-03-01 13:50:09 _____________________________________________________
oodlesnoodles ::: Favorites Wow, this takes me back....I fell for these guys back in 1985 and they shaped my childheed....I actually met and got to hang out with them back in 1990 in Sn Jose CA at a club called One Step Beyond. Anyone else happen to be there?? 07-04-06 23:56:07 _____________________________________________________
frankielaino ::: Favorites John Kuzma (Guitar), Bobby Woods (Bass), and David Ousikinan (Drums) played with Danny DeSouza and Danny DeGennaro in a band called The Torpedoes just before The Hooters. Torpedoes kicked ass with original music as well. 07-04-14 03:23:14 _____________________________________________________
Mato1970 ::: Favorites Ska??? This particular song may sound a bit ska, but I'm not so sure I would classify The Hooters as a ska band. For one thing, ska sucks, and these guys do not suck. Secondly, I have heard some ska bands, and these guys sound nothing like them. The Hooters have a sound all their own. 07-05-09 14:59:00 _____________________________________________________
