stretch54 ::: Favorites I agree that Vinnie is so comfortable rhythmically that (compared to mere mortals) he get's a lot more done behind the drum set. He CAN and does play extremely simple on MANY records he's called to play on. (listen to Faith Hill). Like I said, this is a bad example of his playing. Even most of the songs from this particular CD are better than this. Vinnie is one of the most recorded drummers for a reason. There's a reason why Frank Zappa hired him so young years ago. Some of my favorite stuff of his is with Sting...in the pocket, crisp, modern, and classy.
